EarlyON Child & Family Centre

ROCK is the EarlyON Child and Family Centre for the Burlington Community. We offer a variety of programs and services for you and your family in several locations throughout Burlington. Children up to age 6 and their parents/caregivers take part in programs together.

Parent/Caregiver Programs

These programs offer a learning opportunity for parents. Our Parent Educator and guest speakers provide valuable information about family, parenting, and health issues.

ASK Clinics

Is your child born in 2014 or later? Do you have questions about your child’s growth and development? Did you know you can attend a free ASK program in Halton to meet with professionals that will answer your questions and connect you with resources in the community that may be able to help?

Support for Parents of Infants (0 – 12 months)

Infants develop and change very rapidly and there is so much conflicting information about what to do! Join our Parent Educator and guest speakers for up to date information, tips, and discussion with other parents.

Children's Programs

Drop in to our play based learning environments where you and your child can enjoy playing and learning together, connect with other children and their families, get answers to questions, and find support. Early learning professionals are available to provide support and information about early learning topics, community resources, programs and referrals.

Drop-in (newborn to 6 years)

We offer a variety of toys, materials and activities to encourage children’s exploration, play and inquiry. Children are invited to explore at their own pace and developmental level.

Dad’s Program (newborn to 6 years)

Dads and their children have the chance to talk with other dads and play and learn together.

Join us on Saturdays from 9:30 am - 11:30 am at Cumberland EarlyON Child and Family Centre - 710 Cumberland Ave, Burlington

Saturday Programs are closed on long weekends.

Mother Goose (newborn to 12 months)

Sitting in a circle on the floor, parents learn nursery rhymes and songs, enjoying time with their babies in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Meet and connect with other parents and caregivers and follow your baby's lead as they explore, play, learn and discover.

Play, Learn and Grow (newborn to 16 months)

Explore a wide variety of open-ended materials and engage in fun and interesting learning experiences that build on baby’s emerging skills and interests.

Stepping Stones (newborn to 6 years)

Does your child thrive in environments where there is less stimulation? Join us for a sensory-controlled drop-in playgroup for little ones ages 0-6. Come make new friends, connect with other families, and play with your child in a fun and safe space.

Join us on Wednesdays from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm at St. Mark EarlyON Child and Family Centre - 2145 Upper Middle Road, Burlington

This is a drop-in program for children with disabilities, exceptionalities, or other sensitivities who need a quieter program.

Singing Together (newborn to 24 months)

Come sing along to a live musical circle time with the Seniors at the Village of Tansley Woods.

Join us on Mondays from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Village of Tansley Woods Long Term Care Facility Town Hall - 4100 Upper Middle Road, Burlington

Fit as a Fiddle (16 months and up)

Enjoy active circle times and a variety of engaging activities designed to keep you and your kids moving. Younger siblings are welcome to attend in carriers.

Inspiring Play (18 months to 4 years)

Encourage your child’s imagination, creativity and curiosity at this loose parts play program.

Creative Movement and Art (2 to 6 years)

Explore a variety of art, music, movement and creative play activities. Younger siblings are welcome to attend.

Outdoor Classroom (2 to 6 years)

Wet or warm, cold or snow, join us for this year-round, all-weather program as we invite you and your preschooler to play, explore, and connect with the natural world. Younger siblings are welcome to attend in carriers.

*In case of heat or cold alert this program will not run. This program will run rain or shine. Please visit our Facebook page for closures before heading out.

Language Learners Playtime

Jump into JK (starting JK in September)

Do you have a child starting Junior Kindergarten in the fall? Jump into JK will help develop your child’s confidence and some of the skills necessary to start junior kindergarten. Together, you and your child will discover what it will be like to go to school and talk about what to expect. This program runs July and August only.
